Potatoe Chips






Ingredients: 

2 Large potatoes
Oil to fry
Salt to taste
Chilli powder(Optional)

Recipe: 

Slice the potatoes to the thickness you want. 
Heat the oil in a pan to fry the chips.Preferably on medium heat.  


Remove the chips from the oil once it is fried.  
Spray salt and chilli over the chips. Make sure you spray it while the chips are hot.















Nimbe Chitranna (Lemon Rice)


Ingredients: 


1 lemon juice
2 Cups cooked rice
1 Chopped onion
3-4 Chopped green chillies 
5-6 Curry leaves
1 Tea spoon cumin seeds
1 Tea spoon mustard seeds
2 Tea Spoon urad dal
2 Tea Spoon gram dal
3 Tea Spoon ground nut
3 Table spoon oil
1/2 Table spoon turmeric powder
2-3 garlic
Salt to taste






Recipe


Cook the rice and keep it aside.
Take a pan/vessel and put 3 tb spoon oil.
Once the oil is hot enough add mustard seeds.
After the mustard seeds starts spluttering add cumin seeds.
Now add urad dal, gram dal and ground nut.




Once the groundnut, urad dal and  gram dal turn light brown, then add curry leaf. 


After a min, add chopped onion and chopped chilli.


Once the onion turn light brown, add salt and turmeric powder.
Now add the cooked rice that was set aside, lemon juice and mix well.





Shavige Bath



Ingredients: 

2 Cups shavige
1 Chopped onion
3-4 Chopped green chillies 
5-6 Curry leaves
1 Tea spoon cumin seeds
1 Tea spoon mustard seeds
2 Tea Spoon urad dal
2 Tea Spoon gram dal
3 Tea Spoon ground nut
3 Table spoon oil
1/2 Table spoon turmeric powder
Salt to taste



Recipe

In a pan/cooking bowl add 3-4 cups water.
Once the water starts to boil add shavige and cook for 3-4 minutes.
Now drain the extra water and keep it aside.
Take a pan/vessel and put 3 tb spoon oil.
Once the oil is hot enough add mustard seeds.
After the mustard seeds starts spluttering add cumin seeds.
Now add urad dal, gran dal and ground nut.
Cook this till it turns brown.
Now add curry leaves.
Now add chopped onion and chopped chilli.
Now add salt. 
Once the onion is cooked or turns light brown then add turmeric powder and grated coconut.
Cook for 2-3 mins. 
Now add the cooked shavige that was set aside and mix well.Shavige bath is ready to server. 








Seeme Badane Kaayi Palya (Chayote Squash Sabji)




Ingredients


2 Chopped Chayote Squash
1 Chopped onion 
3-4 Chopped green chillies 
3-4 Curry leaves
1 Tea spoon cumin seeds
1 Tea spoon mustard seeds
3 Table spoon oil
1/2 Table spoon turmeric powder
1 cup freshly grated coconut
Salt to taste












Recipe


Peel off the Chayote Squash skin and chop into cubes.
In a pan/cooking bowl add enough water that is required to cook the chopped Chayote Squash.
Do not cook Chayote Squash for long time. It gets cooked fast and may get dissolved in water.
Once the Chayote Squash is cooked, drain the extra water and keep it aside.
Take a pan/vessel and put 3 tb spoon oil.
Once the oil is hot enough add mustard seeds.
After the mustard seeds starts spluttering add cumin seeds.
Now add curry leaves.
Now add chopped onion and chopped chilli.
Now add salt. 
Once the onion is cooked or turns light brown then add turmeric powder and grated coconut.
Cook for 2-3 more mins.
Now add the cooked Chayote Squash that was set aside and mix well.
Chayote Squash sabji is ready to server. 

It is well served with chapatti or with rice as a side dish.

Tonde Kaayi Palya(Tindora Sabji)




Ingredients: 

40-50 Chopped tindora
1 Chopped onion 
3-4 Chopped green chillies 
5-6 Curry leaves
1 Tea spoon cumin seeds
1 Tea spoon mustard seeds
2 Tea Spoon urad dal
3 Table spoon oil
1/2 Table spoon turmeric powder
1 cup freshly grated coconut
Salt to taste




Recipe

Once the tindora is cooked, drain the extra water and keep it aside.
Take a pan/vessel and put 3 tb spoon oil.
Once the oil is hot enough add mustard seeds.
After the mustard seeds starts spluttering add cumin seeds and urad dal.
Once the urad dal turn light brown add curry leaves.
Now add chopped onion and chopped chilli.
Now add salt. 
Once the onion is cooked or turns light brown then add turmeric powder and grated coconut.
Cook for 2-3 more mins.
Now add the cooked tindora that was set aside and mix well.
Tindora sabji is ready to server. 

It is well served with chapatti or with rice as a side dish.
