Paddu (or Gundponglu)



Ingredients:

1 cup dosa/idli rice.
1 cup white lentils/urad dal.
1/2 cup cooked rice.
2 table spoon fenugreek seeds 
Oil to grease the tava

Recipe:

Soak 1 cup dosa/idli rice and 1 cup white lentils/urad dal separately overnight or for about 8-9 hrs.
Soak fenugreek seeds along with rice/urad dal.
After 8-9hrs, cook 1/2 cup rice and grind it in a mixer by adding little water.
Grind the soaked 1 cup dosa/idli rice in a mixer by adding little water.
Grind the soaked 1 cup lentils/urid dal in a mixer by adding little water.
Now mix all of them properly so that no lumps get formed.
Keep the batter in a warm place overnight or about 9-10 hrs.
(If you have an oven then pre-heat it for 300 degrees and off it.
keep the batter in oven).
After the batter rest for 9-10 hrs, now it is ready for preparing paddu.
Pour the batter to the tava and cook it on one side with a lid and on other side without lid till it turns light brown as shown. 



Paddu or Gudponglu is well served with mint chatni or coconut chatni.
