Thali Pattu(Rice & Vegetable bread)




Ingredients :

1 Chopped carrot
1 finely chopped onions
5-6 finely chopped Curry leaves
1 chopped dill leaf
1 chopped coriander leaf
1 Tea spoon cumin seeds
4-5 finely chopped green chili's
2 table spoon Oil
3 cups of rice flour
2 cups water
Salt to taste

Recipe :

In a bowl keep water to boil. Once the water starts to boil put the rice flour in the center and leave it for 10mins. Do not mix it with water.Just pour it in the center and let it cook.

After 10 mins turn off the gas and with a hard steel spatula continuously stir it and break the lumps if formed. Let it cool for 10mins.

Now mix all the dry ingredients - chopped carrot,finely chopped onions,finely chopped curry leaves, chopped dill leaf, chopped coriander leaf,tea spoon cumin seeds,finely chopped green chili's, table spoon oil and salt to taste. 



To this mixture add the rice flour that was kept aside to cool.  Mix it to form soft dough. From this dough make small balls as shown.




Take two thick square plastic sheet. Grease the plastic sheet with oil.Keep the round dough between the plastic sheet. With the help of chapati roller flatten the dough as shown. Create a small pit as shown.



Keep flat pan to heat and put the rolled dough on to the pan.
Cook it one side by covering lid. 
Cook till it turns light brown.
Thali pattu is ready to eat. It is well served with chatni.
